Paphiopedilum Coos

Paphiopedilum Coos is a primary hybrid. This means that it is a hybrid between two species. In this case of Paphiopedilum glanduliferum and Paphiopedilum chamberlainianum.

It was registered in 1978 by Wilson.

Paphiopedilum Coos takes on both of it's parents flowering characteristics. Paph glanduliferum is a simultaneous multifloral whilst Paph chamberlainianum is a sequential flowerer. In this instance Paph Coos tends to have multiple flowers open at any one time but not all the buds will be out at the same time.
