Our plant of the night was colmanara wildcat MT-4 owned by Bobby and Antonia Acquaro.The judges were John Keenan and Garrie Bromley

Colmanara belongs to the oncidium alliance and is a man made genera created by crossing miltonia, odontoglossum and oncidium.

Wildcat was created by crossing odontonia Rustic Bridge with odontocidium crowborough and was made by Rod Mc Lellan Co in 1992.

There are many named clones of this hybrid most with shiny dark flowers of chestnut to maroon brown with yellow green tips and a wine red lip.

Bobby and Antonia's plant had 5 racemes of well shaped flowers with brown and yellow splotching on the petals and sepals and red on the labellum. Although the racemes could have been taller the plant was well flowered and the flowers were well filled in.Overall a very pleasing presentation
